Thank you always for all of your great videos and time! You are helping and motivating so many of us. The tip that resonated with me the most is reaching out to a local business owner and putting myself out there to create my own jobs.

Hi, Elna! Thanks for the useful information. That last tip on tracking your time resonated with me and taps into that "business" versus "creative" mindset. Definitely going to try that out and create a time-laced plan moving forward.

Hi Elna! Thank you for this video. As for me, the tips that resonated the most were building up your portfolio and follow your favorite writer (you, by the way!). These were my favorite two because in my case I have struggled to pass from researching how to be a freelance writer and getting THE niche, to the point of taking action, write something. And following an expert its fantastic because you can learn a lot about other experiences and what to do to be better! I have recently published my first writing sample in contently, and when I have enough resources I will enroll in your course write your first 1k!. Anyway, thank you again for such great content! P.S. In one of your newsletter emails you said, in the end, something about resources to keep the kids busy, I have read there are various programming courses for kids and parents, you could check something like that :)

What would you say about how to network virtually now? Any resources or events or methods we should look into s we can virtually network?
@ElnaWrites3 жыл бұрын
You can network by signing up to a businesses newsletter, find them on social and follow them, comment on their posts, engage on social media, find them on podcasts and listen to what they have to say! I hope this helps!

Hi Elna, quick question for you. I have a full time job at the moment but am looking to start writing and maybe build up a side hustle slowly. I know you always suggest getting your name out there as a writer, starting a blog and LinkedIn etc. However how can I advertise myself as a writer while my job is something different? Would that be a problem should my employer notice that? Just wondering what the best way to go about this is! Thank you🙂
@ElnaWrites4 жыл бұрын
Hi Elisa! I see what you mean. If you are concerned that your current employer will find out about your side hustle, then I would promote yourself on placed they don't know. Contently, for example, isn't well-known but it's a great way to promote your portfolio and writing. You can avoid using social media or create a new Twitter profile to share your writing and connect with prospects. Then you can pitch to job boards! Good luck!

Hi Elna! Thanks for the informative video. Would it be realistic for a brand new writer to earn $4k a month within a year of starting out writing only blog posts for clients and working part time hours (20 hours per week)?
@ElnaWrites4 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the type of client you seek and the type of service you provide. If you excel with copywriting then you can quote $1k per big project for example.

Thank you for the great coaching Elna! Question- did you ever take an actual copywriting course or did you become self taught to improve your writing/pay?

Hi! Yes I did take a copywriting course!
