I like it when an ancient recipe is something I would happily eat today. That looks both simple to do and delicious. Thank you!

Me too! It's a bit of a thrill isn't it - like 'oh my God, I have something tangible in common with these people that lived thousands of years ago' I love that so much.

Interesting how lamb (mutton) and mint were flavour partners 4000 years ago! I always assumed it was a more recent combination (hundreds of years?). I am so happy you have decided to start a KZbin channel, although I always look forward to your blog because you "dough things differently there"!

Me too, I couldn't believe it when I saw how old the combination of mint and lamb was! Thank you for your lovely words, I'm so pleased you're enjoying my blog too.

I'm not a fan of brothy things, so I would do it your way. Not sure I can get ahold of mutton but I can get lamb...hmmm.

The beauty of the recipe is that it really can be anything you fancy - broth, stew, whatever. I suppose you could even serve it as a dipping sauce if you wanted as well.
