Magnets to hold the nickel pre-weld would be a good idea. Double nickel strip also. Did exact same on my battery build building blocks then flipping them one by one. I ride 21s 18p 65Ah.

Hello ! 14s for Li-ion give 51,8v ; (14×3,7v) Why are you writing 48v ? Doesn't it your checking at the end for 51,1v whith battery low ? Do you think 24 cells in parallel is controled by bms ? It can not, may be different load in futur. Thank for your good video and for your nice work !

@@ludovicblanc8751 I"ve been told the nomenclature is that way because it's a holdover from lead acid batteries that always had voltage numbers divisible by 2 (so like 6v, 12v, 24v, etc). They kept it that way to make it easily marketable/understandable to the average consumer. You won't find anyone selling "51.8v" e-bike batteries. It's always listed as 48v.

@@icerink239 No, because e-bike motors are not designed to only operated at their specified voltage, they'll work with a range of voltages. For example, a Bafang BBS01B is a "36V motor" but it'll work with batteries from 36 up to 48v. A BBSHD can handle anything from 48V to 52V.

So a 48V 60Ah will give a lot more range and anyone can build their own battery pack for an Ebike and have unlimited (not literally unlimited because of weight but let's assume weight isn't an issue) Ah as long as it's the right voltage for the motor and the motor doesn't limit what battery brands it can use?

If 48 volts flow into a motor designed for 48 volts it will work. You can even run alot higher volts but then the problems you run into will be engine overheating, fuses getting blown etc. So yeah, you can deffinitely run an infinitely large battery as long as its delivering 48 volts and the right amount of amps

@@jayakrishnanmanikandan2747 don't use stupid indicators, use a volt meter or buy a proper bms that has bluetooth. Lifepo4 has a very flat discharge curve so it's hard to calculate charge by just looking at the voltage. A proper bms should know how much capacity it has and estimate how much energy is remaining by comparing with last discharge cycle.
