I love the mesh & ribbons. It's so pretty with the ruffle method, but I think I will use the Dollar Tree frames. I'm afraid I won't be able to sell one that big. I made witches hats with both the large Dollar Tree frames and the smaller Dollar Tree frames and the smaller frames end up being a good size. The large one I made I almost thought I wasn't going to sell it.. .lol Thankfully I did, but the shipping was $25 or $30. My husband had to make me a box, because I couldn't find one big enough to ship it.

My budget is really tight, but I want to make my family their own candy cane wreaths. I bought most of my supplies from Dollar Tree. I am going to use Tulle. It is 6" tulle, how long do you suggest I cut them? I thought 2 red and 2 white, per candy cane, would make one. Please, help me, your wreaths are always so beautiful! Thank you for any assistance, you can give me.
@craftingwithhwm4 жыл бұрын
Hello Susan! I think that’s a wonderful idea and they will love it. The tulle from Dollar Tree comes in very short rolls and I don’t think 2 of each will be enough. Their rolls have 3 yards and if you cut them 20” long for each tie then you would get 5 pieces. If you only put 5 ties on the candy cane frame, it won’t cover it. You can get 25 yard rolls of tulle from JoAnnes and Michaels for $2 to $3 so I would go that route. I hope that helps. I do have a free craft group on Facebook called “Hard Working Moms Everyday Craft Dreamers” and you can get lots of help and support from other members as well. Thank you, Lori.
@susanking95024 жыл бұрын
The tulle I purchased is actually 5 yds each, but if Michael's or Joanns has mesh for $2-$3 for a larger amount; I will definitely be going there, tomorrow. Thank you so very much! After, Christmas I want to start purchasing mesh and wreaths, so I can make other ones, for different holidays and events; as gifts. I love watching your videos, you provide me, with so much inspiration. I need to keep making craft items; my stress levels have gone off the rails, due to the Coronavirus. I have made so many face masks, since this pandemic began. I also, crochet lots of gifts. I do make tablecloths,, table runners, and doilies; for those that like them. I just wanted a new project. And making wreaths, looks so therapeutic! 🎅🎄❤

@craftingwithhwm4 жыл бұрын
Oh don’t worry if you did it backwards because candy canes can be hung both ways and I have seen many done the opposite way. However, I am struggling SOOOOOO bad with what to do? Poof, ruffle, cruffle, rolls, awareness ribbon, ... idk. I tried making the awareness ribbon method, but the shape seems to just get lost. Any advice? Thank you for your time. I also liked and shared your video on my facebook wall. :) have a blessed evening.
@craftingwithhwm4 жыл бұрын
Hello Lisa! Thank you very much and yes I’m happy to help you. In order to keep the shape, I would recommend doing either poofs or rolls. I would do 3 rolls per bundle and attach them to the two middle rings. For poofs you can do 8” so it’s not too big. I have a free craft group on Facebook called “Hard Working Moms Everyday Craft Dreamers” and anytime you have questions or need help, we have great members. Thank you for sharing, Lori.
