I loved this candy cane wreath! I think the bubble method is great because you have much less fraying to deal with. When I made this wreath with 10" deco mesh and 10" bubbles it turned out a bit too "poofy" and lost some of the bend that makes it look like a candy cane. Would it work better if I did 8" bubbles with 10" deco mesh so that it doesn't lose the candy cane shape at the top or wouldn't that be enough to cover the frame?

I just did candy cane with 15 in ruffles of 5.5 in mesh. It worked out well with 32 to 33 ties all together. I was wondering when you started whether would be able to make out curve of candy cane with poufs and 21 inch mesh. It turned out well though, I might try the bubble on a second frame. Also is a the other method by another wreath person, wasn’t my idea.😊 Er

For a beginner what’s the best method to start with making a wreath?

I think the ruffle method. Just cut 30 inch pieces of 10 in mesh and make a ruffle. Attach to one of the ties. You can add ribbons if you like. You will need 2 rolls of the 10 inch mesh.
