This mini circuit can only give output 5v max upto 500ma-1A this is for low amp 5v device like - led and 5v relay Please don't overload the circuit or it will heat-up or even burn!! If you want 1A output you can use 1W resistor in place of normal resistor. I tried to build your circuit following your instructions, but when i measure the voltage before putting a load to it it was still 12V. When I connected the load of 15 mini led lights it went down to 3.5. I used a 1k resistor and a 1N4002 diode. But my power supply is only 12v and 3.0 amps dc output. The lights look a little dim, when I use 3 batteries with a total output of 4.7v it looks brighter. Any advice will be truly appreciated.

I think it will take a lot You should use an power inverter with the battery or a heavy duty buck boost converter for that to produce high amp or voltage for electrolysis

I will tell you the truth: I bourh from ebay a HHO generator, the saller told me that the machine produce 400 litrs of HHO, but after testing ( and paying the bill) I discovered that the unit only generate 200 liters per hour of HHO and that is why I am trying to boost the unit to get more HHO. Use 7805 it's only for small 5v load like led or any module which use less current than 500ma 7805 give 1.5A out it can charge your phone easily

you 've to first calculate how much amps u need at output then aask for circuit design/ google the circuit design. R= V/I , V= 28-24 = 4 Volts, Amps at output I= 2 Amps So R= 4/2= 2 Ohms. and Wattage of resistor will be 4 x 2 = 8 Watt. So u will need 8 Watt Resistor of 2 Ohms value ! Simple

Yes you are right this circuit is only for low current load like leds if the current consumption at output increases the zener may melt down, Talking about Soldering yes that was quite bad because accidently I bought the lowest quality soldering wire which take more temperature to melt. Thanks for the feedback, I will improve the soldering 🙂 Edit :- you have to use more watt resistor and zener diode in this configuration to handle more current
