thank you very much, this method has helped me to correct some errors in my previous code, I did the same but it gave me errors (I guess that by moving a project from UE4 to 5, some things become obsolete), although I used the Text Render instead of a separate widget, the truth works just as well, thank you very much again. ------------ muchas gracias, este metodo me ha servido para corregir algunos errores en mi anterior codigo, hacia lo mismo pero me daba errores (supongo que por pasar un proyecto de UE4 a 5, algunas cosas se quedan obsoletas), aunque yo he usado el Text Render en lugar de un widget a parte, la verdad funciona igual de bien, muchas gracias de nuevo

Thanks for the tutorial, it is very helpful. Quick question, if you know how to remove the shadow of the text?

In the object's event graph, under "On Component Begin Overlap (Widget Trigger)", you can add "Set Cast Shadow" at the end after Set Visibility using Widget as the Target, making sure New Cast Shadow is unticked

Great video as usual Gorka! But I have an object in place of the door you used here that is constantly rotating in the x,y,z and the text rotates around the object is there a way to parent my text to the object but keep it in one spot? Hopefully this all makes sense. I'm also wondering if you have a discord where people can come in and ask you for advice while they design their games.

@@GorkaGames yeah dude! It was actually a pretty easy solve. Your vids have really helped the past couple weeks while I learn unreal and develop my first game. Only thing I’m noticing while browsing the interwebs is there doesn’t seem to be any tutorials on how to create a system so people can buy rooms and expand areas of maps.

Thanks great tutorial ! , but I do have an issue and is that I have tried several times but the text won't appear when playing. I did tried turning visibility on at first, so when I walk to it it should desappear and when I walk away it should reappear (at least that's what I think in my head) , It does show this way on first and when I walk away it does not reappear. So at this point i'm thinking it could be a rendering issue but I'm not 100% sure, I there anyway I can verify this ? or do you have any recomendation to do in my case ?? I wish UE5 is not such laggy mess.. so i could work on my project... but few lights and 9 fps? no thanks.. and i have strong PC.

UE5 can sometimes be quite choppy, but what PC specs fo you have?

​@@GorkaGames Well i rather want to know how i am suppose to do baking lightning.. because when i did it in unity it was working perfectly.. from bit of lag to smooth and by few lightnings i mean actually whole first level backroom level if you ever saw it... but once i am trying to do baking in unreal.. nothing works.. fps stays horribly down.. i was looking around 4 videos on how to do it.. and most of them was.. RTX RTX RTX... so like what i am suppose to do?... GTX 1080Ti, i7, 32gb ram :)

@@ShySuccubusLilith So UE5 by default uses Lumen, which is a new Global Illumination system, which doesn't need any baking.. So if you are having problems with baking its because with Lumen you cant, so you would need to change it to use the default UE4 lighting system to be able to bake it..

@@GorkaGames I did that to be honest.. fps went bit more up but.. i mean it still didnt do baking even it should or it do not feel like that at all.. and i have no clue if i did something wrong or not. if there any chance you can make or have video about how to? i didnt check after i give up for while.. bcs like i said.. i did look before but failed. sorry for late respond .. expect youtube letting me know!..

9fps is too low considerijg your spec. Cause i get stable 60 fps with my shitty rx6600. Are you using epic setting by any chance?
