That’s great to hear. I did an apprenticeship when I was young and the knowledge just stuck. It’s all old school knowledge these days but it’s simple, logical and you can do it at home without spending a million bucks. Once you have seen all my videos 🤠 go check out Mrpete222 especially his older videos. I’m pretty sure that’s his channel name. Thanks again for commenting. Let me know if you have any questions 🤠

Do you know how to grind a tool for truing up a center drill hole? I've heard it done, but I've never seen it.
@DavoShed3 ай бұрын
You could do it with a chamfer tool like this one, just grind it to 30 deg instead of 45 deg. I think I have seen Abom79 true up a Center with a tiny boring bar with the compound slide set to 30 deg Abom has a lot of videos to sift through 🤠 You could grind a small boring bar from HSS fairly easily as it would not need to be very long. Just make sure you support your workpiece well with a steady rest if you can. Good luck and thanks for commenting. Dave

The chamfering tool works great, thanks for the tip about extra clearance required for internal holes. Yes please on parting video. All the best.

I get about one sub per day currently. 🤠 It’s all good as long as I’m videoing stuff I enjoy doing anyway. Some videos take off months after being published which is really odd. I’m worried I’ll run out of ideas but that hasn’t happened yet. Do you have a lathe in your workshop yet? If so what is it? Maybe a should do a video on how a lathe is measured :)
