also a tip for the 2x4s. when you look at the ends of the board, you may see a dot at the end with the "rings" of the tree going around it. DONT use those boards if the dot is visible at both ends. the dot is called the pith and it experiences the most amount of stress and tension and as the humidity rises/falls the board will be more likely to warp/bend/twist.

As a 31 year old dude getting bake into skating and all things rad; this video was very helpful and entertaining. Thank you dudes and thank you for running me through the math. The videos I've seen just show me measurements for the ramp they are building. You guys made a video that showed people how to make a ramp of any size. Cheers.

Just FYI for anyone building this, you do not need that many two by four supports. It only makes it heavier, I would suggest one every eight inches. Always works when I build my kickers and ramps.

This is a sufficient tutorial. Definitely gave me a basis of info and knowledge to "build" upon (har, har!). Numerical data/metrics/measurements will serve the community at large in replicating your design but while also scaling it to our individuals needs. I felt like there was some investigative work to be done to determine the length of the 2x4's. Either way, I appreciate the tutorial and plan to adopt it into my own design.

LIL SAFETY TIP FROM A GUY THAT'S BEEN MAKING AND RIDING RAMPS FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS ;;;;;;;;; #1 Please make sure you use ACTUAL plywood for the sides.... chip board is not as strong and will become structurally unsound over time (dragging the ramp in and out, boards hitting it, kids kicking it after they bail).... it also rots and falls a part if it gets wet (depends on where you live)...... #2 PUT YOUR 2x4's or 2x6's (the ribs) vertical and not horizontal, they will flex enough over time and break in the horizontal position..... vertical will last longer and is stronger.... everything else in this vid is totally cool..... ALSO - for something this small you could go to any construction site and ask them if you can use some of their waste/cutoffs and probably get all of the lumber for free
