There are 3 types of opening the hidden blade. Pull ring, fast arm movement and hand easy movement. And you are the only one, who I've ever seen to make the third one. Good job

i think this is my favorite spring loaded hand-made hidden blade. it works well AND looks good. aesthetics are really important to me. especially when majority of KZbin hidden blades are drawer slides

You could try it but I don't think that it will be as effective as we would want. Same with Wolverine claws I think it will be to bulky. There has to be another way.. I will think on it :)

I'm gonna work on a project tomorrow, gonna use this video as my prototype until I figure out how to make the "duel action" function happen. Basically making the blade activate and retract. All I know so far is that is activated by string.

I considered making it more technical I would have to do research on it though, I try to simplify things the best I can but I had seen some cool videos where people used a spring like what would be in a hole punch to turn the blade sideways.

I made this, but with large Popsicle sticks and.... well, uh.... Its done, and it works, buuuuttttt, took probably an hour more than it would have if i had just gotten a wood sheet like yours. just a little tip to anyone who wants to make this with Popsicle sticks, save yourself the frustration, time, and energy and get thin sheet of wood.

+Constance Cain It took me a while to cut it out I had to go over and over it with a exactor knife untill it came free. I also worked it with my scissors and totally ruined them but it worked for the small cuts.
