FYI There are strict guidelines in Canada in regards to many baby products. Cribs .... fixed side rails, space between rails, the two corners at the head and the two corners at the foot of the crib should be flush. (Ie not protruding upwards) as child could get clothing caught in the event of climbing out of crib, cribs have expirery date etc. Prior to purchasing a crib sand/ or setting up a crib, it is recommended to review guidelines for your geographical area.

All information is good. But why should not baby's head be covered?. According to doctor we've to keep baby warm. Pls do reply. Thanks

Tarannum Mulla because the baby doesnt have the same rem cycles we do, so if a blanket, or other object covers their face, making it hard for them to breathe they might not be able to wake up and cry for help, and you might not know, and be able to help due to that. Its always best that during the first year, they not sleep with anything loose in their bed, a swaddle is fine until they start to roll over, but after that its best to just put them to sleep in their pjs, they find that sleeping in a cooler temp room actually reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome.

Carmen Dee probably because they are not made in.. at least the US anymore.. as they dont meet safety standards, as they could fall on baby.

Hi I’m a Doctor, Please don’t recommend use of bumper pillows. it poses risk for suffocation and Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The babies bedding should have proper airflow to prevent overheating. The recommended room temperature is 18 to 21 degree Celsius when the baby is sleeping.

@Altheaisokay6 жыл бұрын
Its best to not have ANY loose objects in the bed until the age of 1 year, when babies are born they dont have the same REM sleep cycles we do, they are not often able to wake up easily when something may be over their head. If a stuffed animal falls on their face, its possible they wont wake up and will suffocate and die.
