Do you like keychain balls? Did you try to make a Monkey fist keychain? Now it's tme to try something different. It may looks hard, but it is really easy to do.

I have looked at so many different knot tutorials over the internet and on KZbin and none beat your videos - they are clear and easy to follow even with out a voice over. Thank you for making knot making easy to learn!

I am new a this, but I found this really hard. The tutorial was great. The design makes sense, easy to follow, easy to remember. But cinching it all together was a real pain. I found making the small Monkey fist--with a small knot as the root--to be far easier. At first I thought the monkey fist was difficult, but after this one (and especially the Globe knot) the monkey fist is a piece of cake--with, or without a jig. lol.

I have made many of these. I made a wooden stand with four pieces of dowel rod after watching another tutorial. I found this easier for me manipulate. Yours appears to be easy. I will try this. Thank you for sharing.

I thank you I used to be able to do these when I was 12 years but I had forgotten how. We call them marlin spike buttons in my scout troop and use them for buttons. You got me started again
@ramzanaisha608 Жыл бұрын
yes dear you are right it is taught in scout or NCC training courses to make buttons but nowadays these knots are inn and known as Chinese buttons in fashion desinging.

Awesome and easy to follow… I use my hands and forearm to measure… hold out your right palm and slip the cord between any two fingers, from behind, and draw the end of the cord to the elbow, then grasp the cord at the base of the thumb or at the wrist , for me this is approx. (12 in.) and repeat until I have the desired length if you are a metric person, measure yourself metrically. * For longer lengths measure how long a strand is by using your “wingspan” i.e. hold the end with thumb and index finger in one hand and pull a length out with the other hand grasp it and measure your length “armspan” and use it to measure the cord length. * Another simple method is to put the tip of the end of the cord under your shoe, step on it, and pull the cord up to your chin or the top of your head. So if you are 6ft. tall you will have a 6ft. length. Or from the floor to your belt buckle, belly button, center of your chest, shoulder ect. * Measure yourself at various places and you won’t need to carry around measuring devices. * Always add a little more for good measure so you don’t come up short at the end… * Think for yourself and enjoy life…

The first tutorial about this, that I can understand. Thank you very much! I tried it with mizuhiki, but it's extremely hard with it. It seems it needs a slippery cord.

Best tip I can give is to have as much left over as you can. I tied one with maybe an inch or two left on both ends and it was no fun at all.

Great tutorial, thank you. I now know, however, after watching this, that that knot is something I shouldn't try. My butterfingers and I won't even attempt it. Well, maybe if I have a week of vacation with nothing to do. Otherwise, I wouldn't have the dexterity.

I want to ask do you know the music that you used but I see you don't answer to comments. So I won't be following you or telling anyone about you as you don't answer comments that I've found kinda sad :( Thanks
