Hi and thank you. Do you mean using 2 zip ties instead of one? One zip tie seems to work pretty well so I’m sure with 2, it would just double the security. Just make sure you use a ribbon wide enough in the center to cover both zip ties. I have a 2nd tutorial I added recently on adding text and graphics. Could you not put elastic on zip tie before fastening it and then just insure it's where you want it before finally tightening the zip tie. I'm not sure it would work is why in asking.

You can. It really depends on the individuals’s preference. For us personally, it is a little bulky or it leaves a slight bulge, even when using the smallest zip tie. I also feel the pleads could “possibly” move with that small extra space. However, for some people it works great so it really depends on personal preference. 😊

Make sure they use a good hair tie. Chances are they may be using the cheaper ones.

They do sell non slip hair ties but you can use hair clips or barrettes, too. Whatever works best on your Child's hair. :)

Could you show how to attach two different ribbons on one end to connect them with a wood burning tool? You get a seam that won't separate. I saw it one time "somewhere" and can't find the video. It was amazing ! You don't have a stiff, hard seam at all like gluing.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, you want to attach 2 different color ribbons together, by burning and sealing them with a wood burner so they make 1 ribbon? If I had to attach them, I would probably use heat bonding tape. I’ve never tried attaching them with a wood burner. Next time I pick a wood burning tool, I’ll try it. The wood burning tool is sometimes used in place of a lighter to burn ends off so they don’t fray. I have another video that shows how to make a 2 color glitter bow. I have also felt that the small space In between may “possibly” leave room for the pleads to move. Why not run the zip tie thru the hair tie before tightening it? I would think that would be way more secure than glue. 🤷‍♀️

I always zip the hair tie to the bow. I never glue it. It's personal preference really. However, I find it to be more secure then gluing it. I also do not find it to be too bulky. The bulk will depend on the size of the zip tie. For basic grosgrain bows, I use a extra small zip. If it's glitter or fabric, I may use a medium zip. For bows that have rhinestone full through, I'll use a bigger zip.

Don't drag your iron out just to make a crease on the ribbon, hit a lighter on that fold and it will set a crease for you without dealing with an iron. Thats what I do and it works great.
