Hi Dave; I am enjoying your tutorials and trying to learn. I have a question: for the curly 6 in mesh hoy many yards do you need in total. I know you mentioned 6 rolls, how many yards does each roll has?
@DavesWreaths2 жыл бұрын
Hi Maria. Thank you so much for watching and for the great comment and question. Sorry, I missed adding that information in the video. Each roll is 5yds in length. So for this particular wreath, it's 30yds in total of deco mesh that I used. Hope that helps and take care.

What do you put on the back to hang them? I love your videos.
@DavesWreaths2 жыл бұрын
Hi there...thank you so much for watching and for the great comment. Normally if it's a wire wrath frame, I just hang the hook off the wire. If you wish to add something extra, you can always just attach a pipe cleaner or ribbon to the wire at the back and then hang the wreath off of that. It all depends if you finish off the back of your wreath as well. If I finish mine, I will just add a pipe cleaner to hang it as well. Hope that helps. 😊

How do you keep the Deco mesh from fraying thanks for sharing 👍
@DavesWreaths2 жыл бұрын
Hi Maria...thank you for watching and for the great question. Deco mesh has a tendency to fray, that is the "nature of the beast". A couple of ways you can reduce the fraying is to 1) use a burning tool to cut the mesh and 2) use methods that will hide the fraying edges. This curly method reduces the fraying but doesn't eliminate it altogether. I find a better quality deco mesh, like poly mesh, can be less tolerant to fraying as well. Hope that helps a bit. Take care and thanks again.

How to make a 3 color wreath with a basketball in the center
@samanthasinclair34322 жыл бұрын
I’ve been searching everywhere for deco mesh and having a hard time finding it … I have came across it on Amazon and it’s 4 rolls 10 inches wide by 30 feet long for $23… I know you mentioned you needed 6 rolls. Just wondering how long your rolls are because I can’t really justify spending that much on deco mesh if 4 rolls won’t do it. ThNk you.
@DavesWreaths2 жыл бұрын
Hi Samantha...I am sorry you are having such a hard time finding the deco mesh. I know sometimes it's not easy accessible to some and even myself from time to time. For this video and this wreath, I did use the six rolls....that was because I do like a full wreath. You can definitely use less, it will just be a little less full than the one that appears in the video. Each of the rolls was 5 yards in length, so in total that is 30 yards for all six or 90ft. You can try Dollar Tree and Michael's for deco mesh and also Facebook Marketplace or in the Groups there as well. They sometimes have "destash" groups where people unload their supplies they no longer need for really cheap. I hope that helps and I wish you luck in your search. Take care.

@DavesWreaths3 ай бұрын
Hi Kathy, if you are going to be making the curly method like this wreath...is it 9" or 10" deco mesh? I haven't seen 9" deco mesh before. I would probably cut the pieces into squares and then roll them into little tubes, like in the video here, and make your bundles. You could probably do with three pieces of deco mesh in each bundle and attach the bundles on the middle two wires. Hope that helps. 😊

I am not getting good coverage with only 5 bundles. There is too much space between my bundles. I had to add extra bundles to make it look better. So what am I doing wrong????😢😢😢😢😢
@DavesWreaths Жыл бұрын
Hi there, I'm sorry you're having issues making your wreath. It's a little hard to see what is going on with your wreath as I don't have a picture, but are you using a 14" wired frame? This one in the video is a 14" wired frame with the five bundles in each section, with one at the cross bars. In total there should be 36 bundles on the wreath frame. Each bundle has 4 pieces of deco mesh. In the end there is 144 pieces of deco mesh cut and then put into bundles. If there is still space, then you can always add another piece of deco mesh to your bundles. I'm not sure why there isn't coverage for yours, this is the method that I used for this wreath, and many others, and the coverage is as you see in the video. I hope this helps a bit. If you have anything else, please let me know and I will try to answer your questions. Thank you 😊
