@shellybeals28064 жыл бұрын
Depending on what I am making. Earrings I will work on 2 or 3 at a time but a bracelet or necklace only one at a time. 😊 I can just imagine you working your magic on many at a time. No grass grows under your feet, I am sure of that 💗

TurtleSoupBeads I’m lucky if I get one finished before I’m off, on to another one. But it also depends on the piece.

Thanks for sharing your method of making beading boards! 😀 I made a similar one several years ago using scrap plywood, a plain wooden picture frame for the bumper, quilt batting, scrap fabric and part of an old Vellux blanket. Instead of making a fabric roll for the bumper, I wrapped the wood frame in several layers of quilt batting, attached a stretch fabric cover to the base as you did, then secured the bumper frame and wrapped it with the stretch fabric. The bead board turned out beautifully and the extra weight provides needed stability when our furbabies decide to "help" their mommy with her beadwork. 😄😸😸 Your tutorial is a great refresher in case I make any more boards someday.😀

When I first saw this video I really couldn’t see why I would need a ‘beading board’? I thought surely a tray would do? And then I started beading following one of your tutorials Susan …. I very quickly made one of these!!! Brilliant and thank you 🙏🏻

Another fantastic crafting hack. One of the things I love most about your channel is watching you create these mind-blowing projects with recycled/upcycled materials. You work at these things until you've perfected the process, then share with us ways we can avoid making mistakes. Your hard work is definitely appreciated. Vellux blanket! Mind-blown.

For some reason, my OCD brain (everything has to be perfect, symmetrical, and store purchased) only allows you to tell me, it doesn’t have to be (perfect, symmetrical or store purchased). You have brought so much peace to my head while I’m crafting. If I’m getting frustrated, I always hear your kind voice saying “it doesn’t have to be perfect”! ♥️
@josephineo85462 жыл бұрын
Yeeees!!! For the longest time I had issues with symmetry and perfection. I never even bought floral tops because the flowers did not sit well the way it is "supposed to be". 2/3 of a flower is to the left/right... Naaaaah. I would feel like I am not balanced. It messed with my equilibrium :) . My friend who does not care, walked me out of that zone, and this video surely echoes and reminds me.... "It does not have to be perfect!" Am freeeee!! hahahahahah
@IAmPamPoovey7 ай бұрын
It doesn't have to be perfect, that's true! I've had to remind myself of that a million times as well. 🤗 THAT BEING SAID...(😂BIG PERFECTIONIST ENERGY INCOMING😂) I have a Cricut machine that cuts chip board up to 2mm thick and that board can be layered to make it thicker and more stable. I'm sorry if I'm agitating your OCD by mentioning this, but my Cricut machine has been my best buddy for years, so I had to share. Btw, IT CUTS ALL SORTS OF FABRIC TOO! 😮🥰 No, it doesn't have to be perfect. You're absolutely right, BUT I'm a little nuts, so I'm going to make mine as close to perfect as I can! Happy beading!

I made my board a good bit larger because I found a CHEAP steering wheel cover that was shaped perfectly so I used pipe insulation that my dad had and I couldn't find a velux blanker so I've got the board covered in a remnant of fleece. It works fine but I need a few smaller boards to keep ongoing projects on. Thank you for sharing your process. I can't wait to get started!

I have been designing my own custom bead mats for a while, and just realized that they would work with a bead board like this as well, but I didn't want to pay that much for one. Thank you for making videos with great instructions! Anyone can watch my video, as well, to make a custom bead mat, or purchase one from my Etsy store. Hope it's ok to say that! You can also get that foam she showed as an alternative material, from grocery stores. They receive a lot of delicate fruits with that material as a cushion. I sold a bunch of stuff on eBay for a bit and hubby managed that department. I was mortified when I learned they throw it away so this is a measure you can use to help the environment if you do a lot of packing. One she to a thousand a year, you can make a difference! PS, I sold them in packs of 50 so other people could help the world while they helped themselves too!
