Love it when ingenious crafters share their ideas for economical alternatives to expensive craft products❤ Thank you! Hints: 1. If you can't find pool noodles, foam pipe insulation from Lowes or Menards, etc is essentially the same thing. 2. If you have an old or worn out Vellux blanket, save it to cut up the good sections into bead mats or make bead boards.🙂

Thank you Abby! Those are some great alternatives. I didn't think ( or know)about the foam pipe. Can you believe I ended up buying a vellux blanket because they don’t sell it by the yard?? They are not cheap! I I’m saving every little bit of it, lol. Thank you again for sharing! ☺️💐💐

@@vividvisionsbymarialuisa Thank you! Foam pipe insulation tubes are like pool noodles, but with a slit along the full length, and come in several i.d. sizes to fit over plumbing pipes of various diameters. They're usually black, but I found a pack of beige pipe covers at Menards about 8 years ago. Amazon also has foam bumpers in an array of colors in standard and jumbo sizes around $20 (give or take) per pack. Lowes has 6' Frost King 1/2" i.d. pipe insulation tubes starting at $1.78 each. Just shop around hardware stores/sections for your best option 🙂 Wow, sounds like Vellux has gotten quite expensive. We bought one on sale (about 30 years ago lol) but one of our 😺 liked to "nurse" it which made a few holes. We eventually got a new Vellux blanket (also on sale) after that kitty "crossed the 🌈 bridge", only to find his successor had the same habit. Hubby teased me about being a packrat for insisting on saving both blankets, but I didn't care because they're VELLUX and except for a few 😺😺 "toofie" marks in the middle of each blanket, were in otherwise good condition. So I'm lucky to have 2 lightly damaged "vintage" Vellux blankets. 😄 All the best to you and yours! 🌻🌼🌺🌷

I use the pool noodle for displaying my jewelry at the craft shows. I use the felts from dollar tree to wrap pool noodles. This is a great idea and I'll make one of this. Thank you for the DIY!

Pool noodle for craft shows is genius! I don't do craft shows but I can imagine it would make the the display look very nice with the felt on. I love dollar tree for crafting items. thank you!

I liked your video very much. I would definitely try only fewer cuts on the fabric. I would not use E6000 its too toxic. Besides the garillo glue is tuff enough to handle a beading mat. I got a little nervous watching you cut with the exacto knife-fearing it would slip and you would hurt yourself--glad you didn't. All in all I love your creative ideas for the supplies. I will definitely try this. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you for the tips! I didn’t know that about E6000 😱 I was nervous about the knife too to be honest. 🙈 Glad you enjoyed the video and it was helpful! 💕
