This video is DOPE Cordon! I really like how you approach every beat non-linearly but systematically at the same time, it makes everything creative... You got some Robert Glasper vibe going on harmonically here! It's amazing man! I really would like to learn more about how you taught yourself music theory and some harmony knowledge for this reason. Was there any specific resource you referenced along the way? And also did you find the drum pattern while playing the drums on the keyboard? Discovering your channel was one of the highlights of my 2022 so far! Thank you for sharing all of these!

I’ll definitely make a video talking more about theory and harmony. For the drums I already knew what pattern I wanted so I just had to find some drums that sounded well together and I recorded them using my keyboard

I would love to see you make a beat on a daw (the one you prefer) from scratch.

Great video as usual! How did you get that nice on the keys?

I studied musicians like Kiefer, Robert glasper, and Herbie Hancock… I took certain aspects of their piano playing and put my own twist on it, but I’m still trying to improve and perfect the sound 👍🏾

@@imLowKey sounding real good! Breaking the stereotype that beatmakers aren’t real musicians. Any tips for learning piano?

@@imLowKey Cordon, it's me again! I hope you can hear me out on this suggestion but it would be amazing to see a series (kind of) on studying all these influential artists/producers. In other words, making a series about what makes them distinctive for you, what are main elements of their music, how they are influencing you etc. Not only from a beat-making perspective (although that one is key) but overall from a musical perspective. After all, for me, what we are trying to achieve while making music is also trying to connect to the ancestors/masters and modern iconoclast musicians who made this music and inspired us as well so I think paying this kind of tribute to them while also drawing influence from them to implement some of their influences in our own music would be amazing to witness! You're a great musician and producer man! I've started understanding your vibe and vision better through these videos! Thank you! Greetings from Berlin!
