Yes, I also was expecting a glossy finish but it also looks great on matte. Best channel on Apoxy ‘how to’ on KZbin, thank you!

Great job, I prefer the gloss on that because it would look like molten gold.

The matte finish definitely made for a classy look to this office. The shiny finish sometimes looks like plastic. I don't like the matte product though. When I sanded my top and wiped it I preferred that finish for the matte look. But ultimately poured a top coat and it looked amazing. It boils down to everybody has an opinion and a preference. I do love this channel. It is the best. Don't feel like I am watching a "used car ad". I can watch it over and over without it offending my senses. Which I have. I like that somehow Tyler always stays clean and the products he uses are new and fresh and His work space is organized. I know that shouldn't matter but we are human and little things matter. I wish there was less waste because the product and supplies are so expensive. Amazing technique. Thanks for the entertainment.

While I normally love matte. I think this method is made for a shiny finish! I absolutely love this tho and the gold pigment is gorgeous! Beautiful job!

That looks AWESOME!!! I Love to watch "Tyler and Tim" do their artwork, true Artist's!!! I think I have a cool name for the technique! How about "String Fracture"!! Yes it say's it all. And it looks like nothing else anyone has ever seen! Remember I named it, but "Laggari Products" can use it freely!! I know I will! "Grego Majestic" - here in the occupied territory! Philadelphia, PA.

Why denatured instead of isopropyl to spray the surface? Also how the heck do you keep the room so free of debris?! Lastly I am a huge fan of the matte! It really gives the stone-like appearance

I like how this came out but a clear top coat for a gloss finish would have been better, and I wouldn't call this technique new. I've seen using epoxy that has set up for effect long before this.
