Loved seeing you do this sweet little tree. Thanks for the commentary on it, and on the style. Also great to hear about your history with bonsai. Would love to hear more of your trajectory in the art form. Also very excited to see you do that big one that you've had for years! hope you'll make it a live video and let us know ahead of time when you'll be working on it so we can come along for the ride.

David, excellent video! Your explanation of branch/wire selection and techniques is always helpful. I enjoyed the smaller size tree. It was easy to see and understand your reasoning for selecting branches.

Nicely done! Great video production and nice work on the tree! This is a great size tree for introduction videos, very relatable, and is an example that I think it practical to a lot of people who might have easy access to that type of tree at a local nursery. It might be helpful to have a video on how to best find such a tree in a crowded nursery, what to look good, what to avoid, etc. Thanks!

As always great videos = thnaks Question - where did you get/ buy the tripod table on which you are working on the plant Also where and if I should by a wire caddy .? Please advice Thank you in advance
@Chris-oq6kn2 ай бұрын
Cheap from amazon i use an adjustable tripod projector stand its called maybe 30$ and a turntable i bought online to style trees. Had to make some adjustments on the tripod stand mostly when i sit down its too high so i cut the pole that adjusts the height but still really cheap for a tripod stand and the size fits all my trees. I always wanted a wire caddy but i feel im better with the roll of wire in hand to judge how much to cut

From a rough looking tree to a shaped looking bonsai , it looks amazing , only I get worried about the length of time wire on a tree starts to dig into the limbs , I had it happen ,disappointing.
@BonsaiSociety2 ай бұрын
The wire has to bite into the tree to truly shape it. You just have to keep a close eye

Hi David, A few months ago I bought a Bonsai that is about 35-40 years old. I notice some branches are going pale. I don’t want the tree to die but I need help. Anyway I can email you picture to get your opinion? Thanks
