I have checked other videos on how to make a box but your method is so scientific and perfect. Makes so much sense. Thanks! Edit: I just finished making a box to mail books. I am so happy that the box turned out perfect. Oh the joy of making things yourself instead of buying. Thank you once again. I love KZbin and I love the people who post tutorials.

I just want to say that I normally never leave comments on videos, but I was in such a frustrated state trying to figure out the simple formula to make a box, and for it being this simple it's amazing how many other useless videos I had to go through to find yours and it makes me want to give you a big hug and thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has cut my packaging time down quite a bit. Your video gives people back their time. Thank you. You got a subscriber and a like from me. Peace out.

Thank goodness someone on You Tube actually knew how to explain how to make a box STEP BY STEP!!! Thank you so much. I will be making a template for my books and magazines I will be shipping because those boxes (just one cost $1.65 each). This will save me a lot of money!!! Thank you again. 😊

You are a very bright man, as I'm sure you already know! I spent more years in the packaging industry than I care to remember and that was a very good demo. You made an AFM - All Flaps Meet - carton. Basically the only nit I could pick is that what you call the Height, is actually the Depth. LxWxD But I only point that out as a courtesy, not as a criticism. Also, for the best stacking strength, the corrugation should run vertical if possible. Nice job!! Oh, one more thing... if the box you need to make is larger than the corrugated you have, you can make a two piece box. Basically the same as yours cut in half with two glue flaps, if that makes sense.
@AlexanderDyer5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I appreciate the input and I find it interesting. An AFM, ha ha, fantastic. I didn't even know. I learn something everyday. LxWxD got it. 😀👍

Good video. Informative. I have made boxes before (and used 'em) successfully. My method has always been basically the same as yours.... i study what already exists and then create a version that is scaled down to the size I need. Premade, manufactured boxes don't always come in the best size.....thanks for the video.

Thank you for this posting. I have been looking for a video that gives a basic, simple explanation on how to construct a shipping box. Wow, I have seen everything, including one video that used multiple (like 8) measurements using algebra. You get right to the point with easy to follow instructions that work. Again, Thank you

I really like watching and listening to how your mind works! Your mind is ingeniously creative. Your brain is wired so differently than mine, so that’s mostly why I learn so much from you. Your mind sees projects in a certain way and because I do not see projects being done like you, you teach me to think differently. You are very gifted and I’m sure you help more people than you realize, to live their lives more independently. I look forward to your videos each month more than anyone else’s. Thank you for everything.

Great video! and I'm super appreciative as having the right box can make such a huge difference in shipping cost! I followed your instructions and just made a custom box for a long thin item that I would never have been able to find a ready-made box for with anything close to the right dimensions--and I or my customer would be paying to ship lots of air. Thanks a million. I know I'll be using your instructions again and again in the future : )

I always learned so much from your videos. But when I saw you were just going to make a cardboard box, I thought why not. After watching this video, I was an educational experience. I will never look at a cardboard box the same. It was very easy to understand on how to get a two dimensional pattern to form into a three dimensional object.

This was helpful... you can basically also find a perfect size box already made and take it apart like you showed and use it as a template to make several boxes using card board from large card board boxes...using a straight edge ,ruler and a razor knife.. some medium and small boxes cost over a $1.00 ...so why not grab some scrap card board and make your own...thanks
