Just bought one of these in not great condition. Your video was EXACTLY what I needed. Your explanation and style were spot on and easy to listen to and understand. Wonderful work. Thanks from Norfolk, England.

I have a 431G which I adore. It's in top condition and sews very well. It's not the most beautiful machine I've got, I prefer the older black looks. They just inspire me more. But it's a machine in a class of its own. I had the same issue getting the feet out. They were STUCK.

That's really interesting machine. Is there any issues with the evaporust, and later the powerwash, with water wicking into all the nooks and crannies, bearing surfaces, etc. Do you do anything after to get all the water out? I've used you diesel fuel (kerosene) in spray bottle method to clean before and tht works well but am always reluctant to use any water based solvents or rust removers on assembled parts.

I actually almost exclusively use new old stock thread. It's great when you find it. Many times my experience has been the same as yours, though. You get some random thread and it goes into the trash.

What if that’s not the answer? I have a Toyota z700 series with this problem but disengage / engage does not effect needle function. Have taken it apart, degreased / degunked and regreased but not sure where to go from here

I've had this one's little brother, the Juki DU1181n. I sew a lot of marine vinyl on it, and it's my favorite machine in over 50 years of sewing. I don't need a compound feed--I have a Consew 227 cylinder arm, but it's really overkill for my bagmaking needs.

I sew 1lb per square in mass loaded vinyl and my stitches are fine, but when I have to see a thin material I keep getting little knots on my top stitch. I've messed with the tensioner and nothing changed. Any help would be appreciated. Also I get zig zag stitches sometimes

THANK YOU For the all the information in your Excellent video!! I foolishly bought a CLONE Class29 and you can imagine the manual for the machine is HORRIBLE! Your video was extremely helpful. Would you have an recommendation on how to make a CLONE produce except performance ( other than being a Boat Anchor ) .. That would be helpful..

A lot of guys sew. It goes against the general impression most people have of sewing. The types of things dudes tend to sew are more utilitarian and sturdy and so they gravitate to these heavier machines capable of handling heavy materials to produce belts, tool holders, bags etc. Projects like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3iTqWiuiKiUqK8si=5yk33fxcfZWvwqDY
