This is so amazing, I’ve seen other Christian youtubers that have made prayer journals, but not someone who is Catholic and I have one and started using it then completely stopped and I feel my prayer life has been in a rut but thank you for sharing this video!!! I LOVE THIS! I have a travelers notebook dedicated to faith with books inside. One for Bible study, one for gratitude and prayer requests, one for my personal prayers. And I keep prayer cards and whatnot in the pockets. I LOVE watching prayer journaling, Bible journaling, bible study , Bible collections, faith book collections. But it’s so hard to find Catholics doing these, there’s very few. They are mostly non Catholic that I find on KZbin.

Hi Deena! Thank you for sharing your Prayer Journal. I do use a prayer journal. The notebook I use is the dot grid bullet journal from Michael’s and I use it for Lectio Divina on the Sunday readings followed by homily notes then personal prayers/conversations with God about anything that’s bothering me. I also write down any Spiritual Battle/Attacks that I’ve experienced and notes from my Spiritual Direction sessions. This year, for the Mass/Homily journaling part, I’m using the Every Sacred Sunday Mass Journal and while it is really good and beautiful, my book doesn’t lay flat so for next year, I’m going to go back to just using a Michael’s bullet journal + St. Paul Daily Missal that way I only have 1 prayer journal to keep track of instead of the 2 I’m using this year. For prayer requests/intentions, I use the Notes app on my phone since I don’t carry my Prayer Journal everywhere. By chance, do you have a video review of your St. Benedict Press Douay-Rheims Bible? I’m thinking of finally getting a DRB translation to replace my GNT-TEV but I’m debating between the St. Benedict Press DRB vs the Baronius Press Pocket DRB. Also, what do you do to archive your previous years prayer journal pages? Thank you & God bless you and your family always.

Not Catholic but I do love this set up. Two sections I have in my prayer journal is a network list of people to pray for, (I use a lot of post it notes to track their prayer requests) I categorize them from work, church, family, friends, etc with their contact info, this literally creates a network to connect me to others in a personal, communal and spiritual way to encourage me to pray, relate, and communicate with them. I also include lots of space for me to journal my prayers.

That's a nice way to organize. Is there a portion in the planner where you can document your questions that come up while you pray and meditate, and document the answers when you receive them? I'm interested in being capable of praying the Rosary in Latin, but what stops me, is saying the Latin words and phrases correctly and not really understanding what I'm saying.

I like the A5 size - it’s big enough for what I need and it gives me room to add things as needed. Right now I just use a journal for writing prayers and I have little prayer books and prayer cards and they're all in a basket that I keep on my nightstand, but I love the idea of having them all in a book. However, I use planners for my day-to-day so I thought I'd just combine them all into one so that I don't have different planners/books, etc. Does that make sense?
