Why would the efficiency of the fans be poor they are basic motors using copper as windings. So I think they are better than the Chinese made as they r not aluminium windings.

the fans are no doubt rugged and durable and likely are of the AC induction type which consume three times the electricity (75 W to 80 W) compared to the new technology of Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) using just 28 W per fan, which is steadily becoming popular in India. Countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and others need to save every watt of precious electricity they generate. BLDC tech can run three such fans in place of one using the same amount of electricity. The electricity saved can reduce power cuts and loadshedding regularly seen in our countries.
