Hey Rossy, I just found your channel and am impressed of course with your creations. I am currently working with polymer clay and am actively looking for ideas and tricks (quite new to this). May I ask if I could make this but with polymer clay instead of with cold porcelain? I have never used cold porcelain, but it seems to be more flexible than polymer clay and easier to shape finer details (the trees, pinecones etc)..

What kind of glue do you use? The gnome is adorable!

I use white wood glue (850 density), any heavy-duty wood glue should work but it should be preferably white or off-white so it's easier to color your clay. And thank you! Glad you liked him 😊

Hi Rossy. Thank you for sharing! You are very talented and I love the gnome. I have done a lot of sculpting with different clays, but I have never seen cold porcelain... very cool! Can you tell me how long it takes to dry or cure and what do you use to color the clay? It looks like you are using a basic pva glue to attach things, is that right? Also, how long can cold porcelain last if stored properly... I'm guessing you keep it airtight? Thanks for your help. :)

Hi David & Christi, thanks to you, you are very kind, thank you for supporting my classes and channel, your support helps me a lot to be able to continue sharing what I do with so much love, cold porcelain takes 3 to 4 days to dry naturally, but if we place the piece in front of a fan or in an area with air conditioning or in cold climates, dries in 24 hours, the thickness of our pieces also depends a lot for drying, if it is very thick it is better to let it dry long enough, I use acrylic paints in a tube, you can also use oil paints and pigments, the glue to glue the pieces together is the same one I use for the homemade cold porcelain recipe (Elmers brand), once the piece is completely dry I protect it with marine varnish from polyurethane, and yes that's right I keep it airtight. Cold Porcelain clay can last from 6 months to a year, stored in a plastic bag and in a completely hermetic container, yes, it must be in its natural state, without paint, a Painted time lasts less (from 1 to 3 months) depends a lot on the type of paint or pigment with which it is dyed. I once kept a measure for a year for moving reasons and it was completely fine when I used it again, but I do not recommend keeping it for that long, you know, I am always ready to help you in this beautiful art, strong and loving hug. 🤗❤️🥰💕😘❣️
