Excellent tutorial, took me a while and a lot of personal frustration to copy your technique, but sure enough it works perfectly :) Work only allows clip-on ties so I wanted to convert some patterned ties I could only get as tie-ons, and this has saved the day!

Oh my god thank you! You are a life saver!! I re start school in 3 days and we have a school uniform. I had bought my tie and for this year they are clip on ones and not a normal tie like the last few years. I wanted to see if I could take the clip off and after I took it off I realised they were smaller than regular ties so I couldn’t tie it around my neck. This is great. Thank you. Your channel is amazing. There is one question i wonder, my tie kind of super long. Is there anyway to shorten the narrow end? Because when i done with adjusted the front length, I have a lot extra longer narrow end. Thank you in advance.

Thanks, yes you can shorten it by opening the seam on the back, pull the fabric and lining out, use a steam iron, to fatten it, cut the access off, reshape it, use steam to make it hold it's shape. make sure you put a cloth over tie when during the whole process. Then comes the tricky part, sewing it back together. if you are not a perfectionist then litey stitch it closed. I have video's on during it both ways.
