Thank you... the pattern I was following was not the same as yours but it didn't have the lining in the ends. The next time I will do use your method. My tie is a success. I will find someone who can embroider my son's initials and a scripture verse to! Bless you brother

Mr. Surratt, Your video is the best tie information that I’ve watched. One question how do you determine the length of the fabric. I personally have a 26" neck, with a normal tie using a 4 in hand knot I have roughly a 3" tail after the knot. I prefer the double Windsor or Winsor knots, how do I determine the length of material to be the correct length to accommodate for the knot and a tail. thank you ever so much for your video.

Hi. Great video. Do you cut the interfacing on the bias also or is it cut on the straight of grain?

Mr. Surratt, I am just now starting to (think) about (professionally) hand paint silk Ties... I personally (probably because I grew up this way)... Love to see a Man in a Beautiful Tie... I think you can tell a lot about the person that wears a tie... The color, the shape... The Tie makes a "Statement" of the person that is wearing it... It is a form of ART... My question Sir, is this... How much would or should I charge to sell a hand painted one of a kind Tie... and Yes I agree, silk is the only way to go, unless I paint a "Funky" 100% Cotton tie... then that is okay... "Thank YOU" so much for sharing your great Tutorial... Have a Blessed Day... ;)

Judi Christopher. Hello I have couple of ties I would like designed would you be interested?
@judichristopher46047 жыл бұрын
Mark Teague... You want me to 'Paint' your design???? .. (Smile)... I'll be honest.. I used to design clothing... I even made a "Duster" Jacket for Jon Bon Jovi back in 1990... after that my business went ski high!!! I also designed --- hand sewn purses, that were painted too... but that was back in the good old days... I am a better designer and painter than I am a seamstress.. (I leave that up to the professionals like you). Please explain more about what you need or want.... I would be honored. ;)

.... OHHHH I forgot to tell you... I (used) to design clothes, not as much any more... Once designed a "Duster" Jacket for Jon Bon Jovi, after "Young Guns"... I like to design, not so much sewing, I leave that up to the (real) professionals like you.. I just like to design, then Paint on my designs... ;)
