How To Make A Closed End Desk Pen / Closed End Blank

Couldn't you just put the "bling" together with the wood blank to begin with? Then drill a hole, insert brass etc. after? Also, if its just one continious piece was it necessary to match the bushing size?

Just had make some , I found putting a point on the mandrel kept slipping ,so I ground it flat, hacksawed the center , bent one side to the right , other the left, for grip , knew I'd be making a few pens like this , so wasn't spoilt , treated myself to a new mandrel kit and a mandrel saver ,,. thanks , stay safe Regards Alf

A note about the music: the first song, Erin Shore (at least this version) is not by Trans-Siberian Orchestra as implied by the description. These are the Corrs. Check video R3dojm2UvCA Last song (the short one before Erin Shore repeats) is "Carraroe Jig", still by the Corrs.

Very nice! I was wondering how do you have enough room for the refill when you don't use a center ring? You make your own however your putting that on the tube not in addition to as you would with a center ring.
