Makify1 could make wine out of water if he wanted to. We're extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to sponsor this video. If the community likes these LED projects that integrate our aluminum channels, we'll be more than glad to sponsor future videos!

Nice..! Instead of using expensive wood, that for most of it only will be visible from the side, use inexpensive wood and dye. It will reduce the costs substantially.

Very nice video for a very nice project. Even if it could seem simple, you did it so well that I'll follow you from now. I'm asking how you made circle so easily ? Did you use a screw to keep the center at the same place when you rotate the wood while cutting it ?

correct me if im wrong, but theres no need for it to be connected in series. U could actually skip drillin top part, by just connecting all leds pararell in the bottom part

tell me how, it's parrarel connection anyway, it will only lower the current running through the led tapes, but no LED whatsoever. (It'd affect voltage only good way in case u made tapes veeeeery long). Trust me i'm and engineer :D

@vileguile4 7 жыл бұрын
Is there a site where you can learn all about how to connect and solder LEDs? Maybe some calculators or at least formulas (i can spread sheet them if so..). I never had any electronic lessons in school and im 37 now. Affording a great soldering station was not a problem at this age which helps as the soldering part wasn't too hard. But when i go to online stores and there's voltages here and voltages there (24, 12), power supplies and ........ it makes my head melt :( Normal old school lamps i could handle as the formulas are pretty straight forward but LEDs are quite different, aren't they?
@mrkrisq
@mrkrisq 7 жыл бұрын
wow, I've spent like half an hour looking for that comment :) If u need help u can write to me. It's very easy, especially if it comes to plugging diodes like that. When it comes to powering only 12V diodes (or 3 like it is on led strip, which respond) it works perfectly like lamp. I guess u can find some tutorials on the internet, I know very good channel but it's Polish :/ Only difference for amatour between diode and lamp is how it response to voltage change (easy to burn if u give too much voltage, that's why they always use resistor) and it allows current to go 1 way only.

+Krisq Gq I work at a place where we help people who's been away from work for a long due to sickness of some sort. One way to boost confidence is by making stuff. We later sell these things and all the profit goes back into the organisation. It's an ever changing place as people come and go and they all have different difficulties and talents. I had an idea about making mushroom lights (there's a British guy who made a video about them). His leds used 5v but the ones i could find were all 12 or 24. I would like to be able to use a standard cell phone charger with their usb connection. That would let customers power them easily and they most likely have spare ones at home already. I tried to figure out how to make the 12V compatible with 5V from the USB but after a while i had to give up and focus on other things :/

That is super cool and really smart, but some of your conversions are way off. 15/32" is most definitely not 1.8mm, 11/32" is not 1.4mm, 3/32" is not 0.37mm. I think you may possibly have the decimal point in the wrong place. Also, why did you snip off the connector only to solder it back on?
