Beautiful! I’ve been wanting to make one of the for probably three years or so. And, “Sidetrack Sally” cracked me up! I think that moniker would fit a lot of us creatives. 😂😂😂😂

Love the finished colors! Almost abstract feathers! Beautiful! Too Crazy! I went to the link for your Amazon products and had no luck. So I continued to watch your video and you brought it up again so I tried again...BOOM! It worked, but I think if people want to see all of your items they have to click on the first one listed and the rest pops up. We have a similar Amazon account going. I do the nail thing, jewelry, cricket, etc.. I was thinking if I wasn't to old to mingle for new friends...😉🙃 You are very creative and I am so happy to have found your page.

I wonder what it would look like if you did a few layers of colour around then stopped and pulled each dot to the middle. Might get muddy in the middle if not careful, I guess? Why not shape it up-side down? Might be easier to mold into what you want?

I use a torch on my molds all the time. You just have to be very careful and torch quickly and don’t get near the edge.

Ikea sell shower curtain liners for a few dollars. And I’ve used bubble wrap for a similar bowl in clay.

Beautiful Stacy. The way you explain everything really helps a “newbie like me. Looking forward to the lamp project. One question though - with heat from light bulb, won’t it have a negative impact on the resin shade? Thank you for always inspiring me to try something.💜

use a LED bulb, they dont give off heat like the old incandescent bulbs :)

Love the colors and the pattern is beautiful! I haven't tried my alcohol inks yet bc I'm completely new to resin anything other than molds for furniture. I could not find the shower curtain or plastic in your amazon list. I wish the vid had a picture of the vase though.

Alternatively you can avoid all this struggle starting when the resin is ready to be formed by: throwing it in a bowl, weighting the center (bottom of the form), pull back sections. Let set completely, the end. Use gravity-don’t fight it. Beautiful colors but dang that was a struggle to watch. Whew. 😅

I've never made a bowl free form like this I always use a mold and then shape it... It's beautiful , but you made a lot of work for yourself, this was hard to watch

@rebeccaallen17524 ай бұрын
Can this be done in a regular mold instead of no mold?
@margielynn43392 ай бұрын
Yes, it's so much easier to do it in a regular mold and then when it's ready to shape it inside of a bowl
