Is the U Haul material the same as the "moving pads" ? It's the first thing that popped up when I typed in u haul fabric

Paola Dezubiria I hot glue mine they seem to stay together but otherwise you can find special tape that you can iron over and it’s no sew

Well it totally depends on your sewing skills!! Since this was my first time every sewing and making anything out of fleece for my pigs probably around 3 hours!! But totally worth it! ❤️ MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I love you're tutorial but I always make mine with just one side pattern and one base pattern (as opposed to 2 sides and 3 base)you have a great ,easy to follow video but you can get the same outcome with fewer patterns and the same steps 😃 witch makes it less confusing and easier to make multiple at once. Each to their own though!😘

A basic sewing machine is best for beginners. I like Singer brand personally. Its easier to find replacement needles or bobbins. Does you machine go thru thick layers of material? I’m having a hard time picking out a machine. I have nothing to compare them too or no one to ask 🤷‍♀️so for about a month I’ve been terrified to pick a machine to purchase. I want to make my babies a few of your cuddle cups. But my real goal is to eventually just learn to sew and have it as a hobby. I did notice your using a brother.

My brother machine works pretty well on thick fabrics. You may have to pull the fabrics through a bit but it got the job done for a few years. It was the $100 at Walmart. I now have Husqvarna/Viking Jade 20 sewing machine and it is amazing!

Ah this looks great for ratties too! Although I'd probably switch out the batting for another layer of fleece, since they tend to shred anything you lovingly make for them 😆 and batting might tangle up around their feet. Quick question: does the Uhaul padding get stringy if torn? Since rats literally eat everything stringy things like towels are really unsafe, but fleece doesn't fray so it is safe.
