How would you wash this?
@SheikyPets7 жыл бұрын
Madintsin and The Fam its recommended to wash with cold water and tumble or hang dry to prevent shrinking but personally i use the warm setting as i add plenty of extra inches for shrinking. I is recommended to use scent free detergent and never use fabric softener as it creates a waterproof barrier on the fleece and prevents pee from seaping through

Hi! So I just want to verify. You used 2 layer of the same fleece so if I have a 2×4 I'd need enough for a 2×8 plus some, 2 layers of uhaul pads, and then the same amount of fabric for the other fleece layer?
@SheikyPets5 жыл бұрын
At the very minimun you need 1 layer of fleece, 1 layer of uhaul and then another 1 layer of fleece. Ive never put in 2 layers of fleece on a single side and if uou want you could put 2 layers of uhaul but its quite hard on a sewing machine

Hi, I followed this awesome tutorial for my first liner ever. I got myself stuck after flipping it inside out : The result is now too thick to fit under my machine's foot and I can't close the gap or add the extra sewing all around to fix everything... How did you manage to get your foot high enough? Do I just have a crappy machine (very possible) or is there a way? Btw I used towels, not uHaul, so this is thicker that yours... Thanks!
@SheikyPets5 жыл бұрын
Hi :) If you push the foot lever up a bit it goes a bit higher up and should give you the space to pull the liner under
@Lafillesansnomdu785 жыл бұрын
@@SheikyPets Thank you for your reply! Sadly, I've already tried that, and after forcing a lot, yes I can sort of squeeze the fabric under, but the resulting sewing is not viable, and I can't finish without the thread breaking or the machine screaming in pain haha. I think I need to find a way to higher the max height of the foot...
@SheikyPets5 жыл бұрын
@@Lafillesansnomdu78 you can always hand sew it but itd definately take up quite a bit of time :) how many absorbent layers did you use? If you used 2 you can always get away with 1. What was the total cost of the fleece liner?
@SheikyPets6 жыл бұрын
Its impossible to tell you exactly how much one costs. By example i always buy the fleece on sale. If we were to use 2 meters for the cage liner plus the absorbent layer(s) id say it would be 20$? Althought with that fabric youd have enough uhaul for another cage liner as well. It depends on the sizing as well (id say with 20$ you can make biggest 2x4 depending how wide the fleece is) and if you have the bassic sewing supplies and sewing machine. I hope this answered your question lol.
