Very nice and neat fabrication, good narration too. The completed box looks really good and I particularly liked your bead roller work. This was such an enjoyable video and such a neat box that I find myself rewatching it. Update: I liked your battery box so much that I bought myself some metal fabrication tools and equipment and am learning to use them! I'm looking forward to making myself a titanium tent stove and some custom configured storage boxes after I've gained more experience. Thank you for the inspiration, seeing your battery box really made me want to make one!

I realize this is an older video, but nice work. I like manufacturing boxes out of everything from cardboard to steel sheeting. I started doing that back in my early teen years to make foot controlled sound effects pedals for guitars, and carried it forward to today. Interesting to see how boxes are produced for every type product we buy.

Really enjoyed this video, as always. It was like you read my mind, I'm wondering what's cleaning the permanent marker- acetone. I always use CAD when designing things. Cardboard Assisted Design, but a lot of the time it doesn't fit right, after transferring it to sheet metal. Probably doesn't help that my sheet metal brake is 2 pieces of angle iron in a bench vice, and a hammer. It works for me, and you're great at explaining things, why you do it a certain way. Who said you can't teach a 50 yr old dog new tricks.

Found your channel a while back and I love the content. I'm curious about how you learned so much from the mechanical aspect of cars to even the fabrication of the custom pieces. I'm trying to learn more about mechanical stuff on my own since nobody really taught me but your channel is helping me out a lot. Keep up the good work my man!
@robertford13297 жыл бұрын
One way to learn is to just try it, you won't always do it right the first time but you will learn how things work and soon be able to picture in your head how things will go together and how they will look before you even pick up the first tool. It would take years of training to "know" how to do all of the things Kyle has on here, he is still learning as he goes too I am sure, sometimes you just have to "Do work son"
@drewmonty28077 жыл бұрын

@drew monty you just have to do it. I went from working on my own cars to being a R&R guy, to building custom cars and race engines. I still don't know everything. I watch a lot of these channels to get insight on things and learn new tips and tricks. You never stop learning, when doing tubing I ALWAYS used a notcher until I stumbled across another fabricators channel who taught another way to do it. Keep watching and keep doing brother

Box looks great . Totally off topic of this video. Eastwood has a tri flow radiator on their website. I just saw the live video they did on it yesterday. The price is super cheap for a fully welded aluminum radiator. I'm going to buy on see if it will help my cooling issues I'm having with my Foxbody. 900 + hp with pump gas and low boost c4 trans with brake . Didn't know if you have any experience with it or not . I'm hoping it will do the trick . Do work son !
@Thefabforums7 жыл бұрын
I dont have any experience but we have talked about them....you place the order dont forget to use thefabforums for free shipping
@goyslop42897 жыл бұрын
Black Knuckle www.stevesnovasite.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4003018 it's mostly just marketing, and can potentially damage your engine if your pump isn't big enough..which I doubt running 900hp lol. But a single flow radiator is actually more efficient.
@Thefabforums7 жыл бұрын
I dont agree with what dude is saying. he says flow is king and its not. If the water flows too fast through the radiator it does have to dissipate heat. I have experimented with this my self by replacing a thermostat with restrictors. If the fluid moves too fast through the radiator it never cools and it will over heat.
@horsepowerjunkiesoftexas52437 жыл бұрын
Well I have a aftermarket pump that flows decent amount of liquid. It's not the biggest but it is good enough for my engine setup. The water must have time to let the air running over the fins pull the heat out of it . So more flow or faster flow isn't what you want in this case . I work on equipment at my job and flow and temp is key for it to work properly.
