The "hd" and "uhd" logic actually has a logical reason of being like this: the game is/was originally on mobile, and on mobile, there are only the hd and low detail textures. pc has all of the extra "uhd" versions on top of the ones that are also present on mobile

I've seen texture packs sometimes add like a background image for the main menu on GameSheet03. Is that possible or wtf am i missing?

Every single texture is able to be customizable, but since 2.2 recently released, all the files were changed to different locations so you'll have to look through them all to find the thing you wanted to edit.

Since I’m not changing any icons, I’m only making packs to change menus and things (like I change all the buttons to be blue and purple instead of green and cyan) but it gets reset every update. Now that robtop is releasing bug fixes like every few days now it gets reset because there are new sprites. This is really annoying and I’m assuming there isn’t anything I can do because all my custom recolors are gone. Also, I have to make another copy of the folder for every update so I think doing this kind of thing doesn’t work. If I were to keep the textures without them resetting then I wouldn’t have any new textures added. I guess non-icon texture packs don’t work anymore (reset every single update) now that the game is updated often.

Hmm, try saving the edited gamesheets and just replace them (it takes less than 30 seconds) since I doubt Robtop updates certain button icons

@@OldCNetwork1andBloxThis would be easier, but I was in the process of recoloring EVERY menu button and green/cyan sprite. This means it would take a very long time. Yes, saving it in a folder is good (and I do have them saved) but because they are made in early 2.2, they aren’t compatible with 2.204 or whatever update we’re on right now (new sprites are added that didn’t exist when making the pack, so the entire sheet is rearranged). It seems the only method (since robtop is updating what the sprite sheets look like) is to do the entire recolor all over again. Problem with that is I would have to do this every month or two since robtop keeps releasing patches that occasionally change the sheet’s arrangement

You have to change your in-game icon colors to white/white for it to work properly, if you select any other color it tints it to that color so I assume you selected black and that is what makes your icon black

Try re-installing GD and then try again that way you have a clean slate to work on, make sure to closely follow the steps in the video as I think you may have gotten a bit off track from what I've heard

Unfortunately this is the only way to do it, good thing Robtop put all the icons layers into individual icon files so that makes it much easier than it was in the last update where you had to find everything on a gamesheet

That shows because you haven't actually unlocked the icon, you need to actually unlock it first.

You simply find the endscreen texture in the resources file, and dump the 50 Kilos of the Chick-fil-a sauce all over it

Those are found with other textures in GJ_Gamesheet03, remember, it may have UHD or HD so pick the right detail setting for your game, if you have low detail set in game it has no HD mark, if its medium detail, use the HD version of the gamesheet, if you have high detail set in game, use UHD, hope the texture pack works out for you!

Just re-install GD and boom, all the textures are reset, the next time you make a texture pack make a copy of the original resources file so you don't have to wait as long for the game to re-download.

Hm well the game shouldn't be crashing if done correctly, you may have put the image in the wrong position in the gamesheet file (or you're putting it in the wrong file itself), just keep trying very carefully really, sorry if this isn't really a good answer but thats all that you can really do here 😅.

Are you talking about the glow/outline of the icons? or the picture itself going outside the icon, if thats the case then, the only thing you can really do is just do a better job of putting the picture inside the icon

you simply hover your mouse over the file name, then click ctrl + c to copy and ctrl + v to paste, it should paste in your editing software or wherever you choose to paste it.

Just edit the ones with the textures you want to change, but to accurately pick the right gamesheet go to your graphics settings in-game and then if its high detail its UHD, Medium Detail = HD, Low detail just normal.

If you made a copy of the resources file then all you have to do is delete the edited resources file, if you didn't do that simply re-install the game and all your textures will be reverted!

SSD is just a storage drive, faster and thinner than hard disk drives, so it really just depends on your computer where those files are, try to keep looking, it should be there, the pc I use is windows 11, so if you have the same model it should have an SSD.

You are ONLY supposed to delete the resources if you edited it already and no longer want to use the textures you put into said resources, that way the copy of the original resources file that you have to make is the main resources file GD uses, the reason it crashes is because GD has no resources file to activate which then basically kills it as soon as it launches

Same steps as shown in the video, only thing different is to find the file location and its in the same file as everything else.
