Really good tutorial! Problem is that I am not aiming for levels with just some decoration. For example, right now my theme is a cave with mushrooms and some kind of facility inside. Designs like this don't work that well for that. i should make it so my next theme is easier.

yeah, you can just use the regular slope but shift it over slightly so it looks like a thicker one
