For it to be strong enough to use/hang, yes, I'd say this clay would need to be fired in a kiln....but I would also say, most of the making techniques could be transferred to air drying clay ☺️

Hi. The paste is slip which is just the clay mixed with some water. My clay is a lightly grogged buff coloured raku modelling clay from potterycrafts ☺️

@@sayali09757 I often put a hole in the back for it to hand on a nail or screw. You can also use something like epoxy putty to make a hook after it's all fired and finished...

Yes, most of the modelling techniques will transfer to other medium. In fact much comes from sugarcraft flower making 😊

What kind of clay is this? Is this for a kiln, or just air dry clay?

This clay is for firing in a kiln (raku modelling clay from Potterycrafts) but it should work very similarly for air drying clay, although how you join may be different depending on which air drying clay it is.

I think the only difference for Das is that you just use water rather than slip to stick. You still score surfaces. It will be heavy but as long as the joins all hold and you have a good hanging point on the flower I think it should be fine to hang on a wall :)
