The glue adds a seal. Not suitable for outdoors, but certainly good enough for indoors.

When I try this the glue just pulls the paint off, what am i doing wrong?

Hi...well apply a very little glue with a paint brush and then put the tissue..or maybe try another brand gesso...

Give your paint a little longer to dry... or add another coat of paint.

The bottle is painted with white acrylic paint, and applied with a sponge.

Hiya, any tips/hints on adding your napkin so you don’t get creases please

Apply it slowly at one side, then very gently stroke it over with a glued up brush. (Make sure the glue is watered down though otherwise it will tear)

PVA glue will be fine.

Hi, every time I sponge paint my bottles it looks really patchy when the lights go in 😔I've used numerous different paints an it always comes out the same... Any advice is appreciated

You need to give it at least a couple of coats. But at the same time it does need to let some light through. If it was solid colour you’d not see the lights at all.

Are you using chalk paint? It's supposed to cover better.
