The original meaning of "doro-dango" in Japanese is not "shiny mudball" but "mud dango" where "dango" is a type of food, a ball-shaped dumpling, often covered with shiny sweet paste.

I love your video. I had one question. I looked through the comments and didn't see it asked. During the video you hang the ball up in a bag to rehydrate. Is there a small amount of water at the bottom of the bag or is the bag empty when you place the ball inside?
