Join flower farmer and florist Georgie Newbery of Common Farm Flowers as she shows you how to make a dried flower posy, then turn lots of posies into a garland, then turn the garland into a wreath.
It's a miserable day in November, and I don't know about you, but I'm struggling to keep cheerful with the change over to daylight saving. The days seem dark and I need brightening up. So here's a cheerful project to brighten a dull day in this down time between Halloween and Christmas.
I have a bumper crop of beautiful dried flowers so let's make a posy, then a garland, and then a wreath from them. All of these projects are relatively easy, and I'm reliably informed that working with flowers, and making something creative on a dull day is good for our mental health. Let's have a go and see!
We have some festive wreath demos online, which are now available to buy. Click here for details:
www.commonfarm...
You can see our full workshop calendar here www.commonfarm...
If you're booking a place on our workshops or demos the website will ask you to choose a delivery date - any date will do! And if you can't join our sessions live then you are still very welcome to book as we send the recording and notes of the workshop out to everyone afterwards, so you can download the session and refer back to it as and when you need to.
If you enjoy the tips and tricks Georgie gives you here, or would simply like to support the channel, the link to her Buy Me a Coffee page is here: www.buymeacoff...

I too hate the dark dingy days of Autumn and Winter. This is a great idea to try when I am feeling despondent.

I love all your videos and find them so helpful and also enjoyable. The sound was great and even when it is a wee bit harder to hear (like if you’re outside in the wind). I still really enjoy it. It’s so much more real and relatable for me.

Utterly gorgeous, I’ve never been a fan of dried flowers, too many faded dusty box-framed arrangements. But the last few months I am strangely drawn. To the point I might have them at my reception. Thank you for your honesty, creativity and generosity in sharing.

Georgie, you're such an nspiration. Since finding you I have binge watched your lovely videos. Please know how much you're appreciated by this person from the USA. If I lived in the UK, I would order one of your 'one of each' floral bouquets in the spring. I have ordered one of your books. Have a great weekend.🌻🌺🌼

Your sea holly variety is Eryngium “blue glitter’. I grew it as well this year and loved it, though my plant didn’t get very large so i have only a few stems dried. Fingers crossed for it to come back bigger and better next year!

Hi Georgie, love all your videos and really look forward to them each week, I’ve been on your online wreath workshop, which was fab and bought you coffees too😊. I’m thinking of tackling some kind of foliage and candle/fairy light garlandy thing to suspend over my dining table for Christmas, do you have any ideas on how to do this or at least how not to make it so heavy that it will pull down my newly painted ceiling! Tia 😊
