I am in a country where dropshipping is not allowed due to customs restrictions (Uruguay, $200 a year after that 50% tax on any import) I was wondering if you have to make many configuration changes to sell to all countries, I saw You didn't recommend it to begin with, but I didn't quite understand the reasons, if it's due to some optimization in the products or something else more complicated. Price calculation too is a problem if there is a change in price as compare to Ali dropship.

I would try to find the same product on aliexpress and import those reviews. And connect it to the same product on CJ. Generally you'll be able to find. And you can also download the cjdropshipping chrome extension to see if you can source the same products from aliexpress.
