I enjoy your relaxed and imperfect attitude…you make art feel grounded and unpretentious. Thank you, your art is a life style that makes me want to create…now I just need to start…to make time and just do it.

I adore you. I love everything you do. You have inspired me in so many ways with art. You taught me how to sketch. I followed your videos and now sketch my own whimsical mushroom houses, botanicals, etc., and I’m good at it! I’ve never considered myself an artist but have always done arts n crafts… I’m now opening my own Etsy shoppe for art and homemade journals, folios, prints, and ceramics. You taught me to take chances and just ‘wing it’. I love you as a soul sister and I mean that with the greatest respect… you changed my life. I just wanted you to know that. 🙏🏻

I agree wholeheartedly with @alenammetz! I look forward to watching another of your videos everyday. I watch some of them over and over when I think of something to do that I saw in a previous video. I have always loved to doodle, sketch, and paint, but I was such a perfectionist and wanted my paintings to look like photographs. I always wished I could just relax and paint whimsically or impressionistically. And, after all these years, guess what I'm learning from you! And I'm not a spring chicken! I'm 70 years old. So Michelle CAN teach an old dog new tricks! Thank you so much for all the encouragement and inspiration in your videos!

It’s a hard thing to let go. Some things are nice to have perfect. The idea is not to stress over it. Finding a balance is something i think all creative people try to achieve 😊

You are so right on about "toooo much stuff". I've seen craft room tours and the amount of supplies is just overwhelming. I think when will she ever use all this???? How about giving us a studio tour. Love your stuff. I'm sketching and doodling because of you.

Oh Michele, you made my day with the cutting part! 😆That was hilarious but worked perfectly well. - I mostly use cardboard for journals, and honestly I never thought of cutting book covers to a smaller size. Thanks for this idea!

I just recently started making art journals and I altered my first book on Saturday. I found your channel this week and subscribed right away. In between watching my 2 year old granddaughter I’ve been watching you. Really glad I found you. I’m pretty sure your art is exactly the art I’ve been trying to find within me. I love watercolor but stink at it and stress. Well I’ve already used some book pages and painted loose blobs and sketches or doodled flowers. Keep up the videos 😊

That’s great blobs and doodles!!! Sounds like you are in the right place to me! Keep at it you will find your grove. Have fun and be carefree. Keep trying watercolour i was stinky at it as well when i first tried it. I was frustrated and impatient. Now instead of fighting it i let the watercolour do its thing and roll with it. Cheers, Michele

You are amazing! Love your technique and your lovely sketches. Next time you are in the dollar store, go to the hardware section. I picked up (two years ago) a plastic case with small screw drivers in it. They are about four - five inches long. The package had several types- - one was a pokey tool. I have it stuck in a wine cork holder on my desk. It is great for separating tear tape. TFS. 🙏🥰

Oh no! I just erased my whole..oh too long… comment so here I go again! Love everything! So many great ideas! I think this idea will translate great to any style too! Thank you for stimulating so many ideas in me! Yes to carving of those darling little stamps Please! I’m only here because I’m in the process of moving (actually just packed my carving rubber (?)) that I have never tried) this morning …and also carried some oh to heavy stuff so I’m trying to not have a worse back ache by resting for a few and watching you…my excuse anyway…at 74, I can’t seem to act my age 🙃! I’m just loving everything that you are doing and wondering what else I have missed out on all this time…partly good because I’ll have plenty of videos to catch up with! As I am watching I can’t help but think that you might have a bit of stuff like me and wondering if you have ever done any craft room organizing videos or have any hints… I really didn’t realize that I was overdoing it with the crafting stuff until I started packing it up and got so ashamed of myself that I started picking up things and boxes of things and just donating it without even looking at it…that’s pretty bad! I am glad that someone else will benefit from it but I don’t want it to happen again and I am so grateful that my son doesn’t have to be the one to do this. All that to say that any hints are appreciated! You seem like such a cute, sweet person! So happy to have found you!!Thank you again!!💕💕💕

You are one of my most favorite crafters. I love your style, love how you give us such neat pointers. I have learned so much from you. You are such an amazing teacher! Thank you for all the time you put into your channel for us. *This is just a side note: I ran across a full set of micro pens in the color sepia from Temu. I thought of you when I saw that color.

Thx for making it fun to be messy...God knows my ocd-neatness is mostly due to limited space & ii hate losing things so everything gets out back even if it comes out next period...puts a crimp in my spontaneity at times but a sense of humor, & tutes like yours keep me inspired to start fresh. How is yr hip?

I love this video. I have a question. Why did you cut the spine off of the book cover? Seems like it would have been easier just to leave it on. But I'm sure you have a reason, so enlighten me! Thanks for the video. I am inspired!

When I want to cut through something thick and I'm too lazy to set up a cutting area, I get it to the point you did (cut it enough to fold the flaps together) then put the cutter between the flaps, blade upward, and draw the blade through the cut.
