Where did you get so much knowledge of electronic stuff? I personally find electronics very interesting but cannot find a best place to learn it. Don't know where to start from. Can you please suggest me a few things? That would be nice. Thank you.
@matthewthompson37845 жыл бұрын
Neat idea but there are a few issues that need to be addressed, both testing wise and design wise. Testing wise, you need to demonstrate the Eco AC is actually more efficent at cooling a room than the fan by itself. Instead of placing the thermometer directly in the outlet, which would cool it via the direct airflow, you need to place it in an enclosed space, first with just the fan alone to see how it effects temp as a control, then with the Eco AC to show the real cooling effect in a room with a fixed volume. Next, the design. While you should get some cooling with the current set up, it would be better to have a more extreme difference between inlet and outlet. I have seen these made with 2 liter bottles which is a great example of a large variation in diameters creating a more noticeable effect. Next, it would be good to see which is more efficient, the current set up with a fan blowing air onto the vents, or if it was reversed with the fan instead drawing air through the vents.
@homayounshirazi95507 жыл бұрын
Jules Vandepitte, The title of the video was "Eco Room Air Cooler." It does not cool the air in the room but if someone is immediately in front of this contraption, then he/she would feel cooler as the air that strikes his/her skin evaporates the sweat and in doing so the surface temperature of the skin is reduced leading to a sensation of cooling off while standing in front of the blowers.
@Ricopikoo4 жыл бұрын
You have missed the point. Evaporation of perspiration does cause cooling of the skin but what he is trying to demonstrate here is the cooling that takes place by the throttling of air as it is pushed out of a narrowing orifice .Very similar to the principal used in refrigerators and air conditioners.I don't know though that the results can really be as dramatic as displayed here considering that the fluid used here is air and the compression pressure very limited. Perhaps they are and perhaps they aren't.

Just drape a wet towel over the intake grille and turn it into a swamp cooler, then you'll have something that actually works. Ideally have the towel stretched like a belt over two rollers, one motorized and the other free-spinning, and sit it in a rectangular tub of water. That way the rear of the grille will always have wet cloth behind it to cool the air stream for those standing in front of it.

So you have an active humidifier. Neat.
@marktan80746 жыл бұрын
It will not work in the tropics due to the high humidity.
@exoc17 жыл бұрын
1. it's a fan, not a cooler in any way. Actually, the heat from the motor will probably increase the temprature over time. 2. The nozzles will only restrict airflow and make the air flow back on the sides of the fan. 3. More complicated build than neccisary. A pipe, just a little bigger than the propeller would have been more effective and easier to build than a box. But this will bring the views to the video wether it's working or not i guess. Judging by the comments a majority of commenters thinks this is a great build...

Try using a few usb misters then make that panel out of aluminum and copper tubes design a longer insulated box that has two sets of fans two sets of multiple USB misters and three sets of aluminum panels with copper air restricting nozzels. Be neat to find out how far the air temperature can be brought down by using this concept? 😊

Nice fan, but I wouldn't call it a 'cooler'. The air cools in the tube, but it would simply expand again and increase pressure/lose velocity after it exits. Maybe you could show a more conclusive test.

Just like Thompson-Joule effects when compressed air expands through nozzles. But it only makes the air temperature 2~3 degrees °C lower than the room temperature.

In the HVAC world the term for cooling a room is "removing heat", the heat is transferred into freon and displaced outside at the condenser by the condenser fan blowing ambient cooler air over the condenser fins. With this concept , the heat never leaves the room, so by the laws of physics, this cannot meet ones goal, to cool air.

@pisagor56995 жыл бұрын
u gotta put motor outside and use v- belt for fan in the outside . it will be 5 degree less . the idea is ok but practice is bad. actually if u put the pipes outside of the window without fan it will be more efficent. forced one is less effective if ther motor is inside the ambient.
@sbrown13883 жыл бұрын
Could have done that same thing using a cardboard box, mini box fan and plastic bottles.

wrong way of testing by putting thermometer inside, The expansion of air takes place at the opening hence the air reaches the lowest possible temperature outside the nozzle (not inside).

@brianfoster15047 жыл бұрын
A proper test for cooling effect would be to take room temp before turning it on, and again after it has been running at various intervals, and not right in front of the output. If it doesn't actually affect the whole room, it's not very useful.
@luisa.barriosg.75892 жыл бұрын
you are a little unfair. you must see that, from the size of the motor and fan blades, it is clear that the amount of air to be cooled will not be enough to cool an entire room, perhaps the area near the person using it.

that's just a fan. it doesn't cool the air, it makes it faster
@valenchannel35387 жыл бұрын
you can see eco cooling on google and know how to it work
@FAB11507 жыл бұрын
Valen Channel that's how a normal air conditioner works, only with a gas that runs compressed in a tank, and then is decompressed in a copper tube, so it cools down and a fan makes air pass so it cools down. But no, making air pass in a 2" tube doesn't make it cooler.

@aldo50396 жыл бұрын
You will be really making the room hotter because to cool down something, you need to extract the heat. And that heat needs to go somewhere, in this case, the room your are trying to cool down. Plus the heat generated by the motor. Thats why real air conditioners have a fan and a radiator to move heat away from a room to the city or the environment, this way you are really moving heat to other place.

wow science, are you measure the speed of the air flow from mouth? with full open and a little open. try with same speed. its like fan on the box but like turbo charger jet machine. why not make cylinder output just one pcs, and fan make 3 or 4 pcs so you can produce more air speed so its can like jet turbo but without fire and petrol, i think you can fly with thats.
