A fabulous result! Hinge material run on the top of the wing though? Will work fine for flight but will not allow enough down movement for the landing mode you’d want though.

hmmm..that a good point. My thought was to keep the air flow smooth as possible over the top surface. I think I'll have enough down travel. Thanks for the comment! Always appreciate you view point.

@@amonus-air2160 😬 yeah they’re always hinged on the bottom. But again. It’ll fly great guaranteed. I use gap seal on the top myself. Don’t worry about a top gap though. Synergy or zone airfoil, the bubble of separation is ahead of your hinge as long as your aileron is less than 30% of your chord. Yours clearly is. Good rule of thumb is the aileron should be Aprox 25% of the root chord at the root.

Hinge line is 70% of chord as per Synergyll forums. I'll change the hinge side on the next 😎

I've followed Afilos way for tail feathers and they turned out great. I've upgraded to mylar now and I can say it produces a super nice finish 👌🏼 Well done to both of you guys! I have a home made feather cut as well but haven't tried it yet. After these vids I'm definitely going to give it a try now. My trailing edges are only ok and not consistent 🫤

the void at your trailing edge can be dealt with by using a small bead of epoxy and micro balloons prior to bagging.

It's unbelievable that there are just no pinholes in the surface. Especially u didnt use some gel coat and didnt roll the mylars first with resin. After seen the last video i expected a lot of pinholes, to be honest. Well done, dude!

I like your clean methodology and clever techniques...however your fibreglass looks very much delaminated in a bunch of places. I'd suggest to skip the step of soaking up resin with the toilet paper. Or you need much stronger vacuum

truthfully, I forgot to apply mold wax to the mylars on one of the wing halves..my bad. It's fixable, but not what I had in mind.
