How to Make a French Cuff and Get the Best Look - Sewing for Beginners (FREE TEMPLATE!)

Hi Cali! I'm so sorry for my late response. I meant to answer your question about divots but a ton of comments poured in and I couldn't find yours. The reason that happens on blazers is due to a bad ratio between armhole and sleeves width. Sometimes can be fixed and others it can't. Basically you need to remove the sleeves and check that the armhole is right. Sometimes it has more triangular than oval shape. When this is corrected, you have to check if the sleeves have enough material for a good ease. This is the most difficult part as you really need to have a little bit of pattern knowledge. I am so sorry that I just fixed this on a jacket a few days before your message and I didn't recorded it but I'll keep this on my to do list.

It might be the tension. Most of the time you need to increase the tension on top and on the bobbin case. I think I'll make a video about it!

This is used in jackets too. But there are several kinds of jackets' cuffs. I hope this helps ❤
