A client of mine sent a picture of a beautiful wedding cake that her daughter fell in love with. The cake featured stylized sugar roses with beautiful frilly cups formed from sugarpaste. Gorgeous! Problem was that she wanted a similar look created with wafer paper. I wasn't sure how to form the petals so they would be beautifully cupped. After several failed attempts I noticed my Wilton petal formers sitting at the edge of my workbench. I gave it a shot and TA-DA! Not only did they create cupped petals, but by happy chance the frilly edges magically appeared in the process. The rest was fairly easy :)
