Welcome back to my envelope junk journal folio. We're picking up where we left off in part 1 and it's all about decoration and detail. We’ll be adding character to our folio pages using the adorable images from The Digital Collage Club (see discount links below), inserting a signature for a personal touch, and tucking in bits of ephemera. We’ll also focus on functionality, ensuring our creations are not only beautiful but also practical, with a handmade closure to keep all our treasures safe.

Yep, we all have those moments but keep on going.. I just finished a journal and was gluing items on what I thought was the cover. I’d actually flipped it and was gluing on the back cover without realizing it. Oh well, lemonade out of lemons. 😂😂😂

Oh crud. I groaned when the needle broke. Been there, done that! Sometimes I can sew in a signature with no issues, other times, it's a struggle. Super cute folio.

Lol. I was wincing the whole time you used the beading needle as I know from personal experience how easily they break 🥴 A tapestry or large embroidery needle would have worked better to get that lovely yarn through & they have a pretty big eye. Tapestry needles are quite blunt too, so are perfect for when you’ve already punched holes through. But extra points for persistence! 🥇 You could tie the fluffy thread onto the gold thread where you’ve knotted the gold thread so it stays attached to the journal. And I’m sure your bunny’s favourite game is “blind man’s buff” so they don’t mind the soft fluffy blindfold 🤭

I wish you had a bookbinding needle or tapestry needle and then you could use the yarns and ribbons just fine!

I know well the battle of trying to get the lace or ribbon I want to use thru the hole I don't want to make any bigger. Love these ideas! Planning on making flip flop journal for some friends and this give s me some easy and cute decoration ideas.I completely forgot I have some of those threading needles! NOw I just need to figure out where I put them where I wouldn't forget them.

Idea on the beading (Big eyed)needle: I wonder if you could’ve used it to thread through the eye of a more sturdy needle to help then pull your thick yarns through the sturdy needle as well? May have to try that sometime since I’ve ran into this same issue before.

I had fun watching! I can't say you didn't try!!!😅 those needles look too flimsy for pulling too hard. Maybe make a little notch on the large envelopes so cute writing papers show a bit? It's hard to know where all the extra ephemera is hidden. I love the papers in the signature, each is so unique! That journal is bunny cuteness overload!❤😊

Once you thread the yarn through the first needle, then put that needle through a sturdier needle, and the yarn will go through with the other needle.
