Thank you! If you notice at (9:20) in the video, i showed how i melted the bottom of the (half spheres) and directly added them to the chilled cake, that's how they stuck. However the sun on top (full sphere) i added a skewer to the cake, then again melted the bottom of the sun, both to make a whole, and to make it stick to the cake. So the purpose of the skewer is not to let the sun move around if it detached from the cake. I used Pro Gel Navy Blue by Rainbow Dust (it comes in a tube).

Hi, yes you can use gel food colouring mixed with rose spirit or any alcohol based to form a paint that can actually dry.
