I can't believe I've never used this flavor profile before on the channel: Chocolate + Orange! This week, I caked a zesty Terry's Chocolate Orange slice AND surrounded it with allll the chocolate orange goodies we found on our way home from the UK (how come they get all the good chocolate??) This orange syrup soaked orange chocolate cake (whew! say that fast 7 times) is filled with marmalade and enrobed with dark chocolate, and is a great starter novelty cake! If you REALLY want to show off, let me show you how to use household items to build an impressive spread!

YES Orhan you nailed it "A great beginner cake" that makes you cry and give up decorating, LOL. They call them Digestive Biscuits because they are made with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and when created in the 1800s they were believed to help with digestion but a tastier way to have it. Loving all the chocolate orange goodies, such a great combination.

Yeah I wish I could try those Jaffa donuts. You can get Butlers chocolate (Ireland) shipped to the US but also I didn't realize chocolate and orange was so big in England. I have been to Ireland but no where else

Hey Kim! My simple syrup recipe is equal parts sugar and water, which makes the liquid more viscous. This prevents the cakes from being soggy, but instead ensures that the cake stays moist! Let me know if you give it a try 💕
