How to Make a Glass Bottle Cutter Tool Using 12v Glow Plug

Just wanted to say I just built this and it works amazingly. You have to turn the bottles quite slowly and evenly. I put a block of wood across the frame to hold the bottle against which makes it easier to rotate while keeping the same heating line. For those in the comments asking... No, you don't have to score the bottle first. After it is cut, it takes about 5 minutes with sandpaper to polish the sharp edges. Start with an 80 grade paper and then move to a finer one like 500. Best to use wet sandpaper. You can also use a sharpening stone. Good luck all, and thanks for the video instruction.

Just note that you need to score the bottle first before heating it like this, otherwise you won’t get a neat break. His are scored if you look carefully.

Click bait video, yes you score the bottles first , heat it then add cold usually to it to make it break on the line scored. Cold water or ice cubes around a bottle with get it to break away neatly as long as your scores line is good.
