McGolf Custom Clubs

Жыл бұрын

We are rebuilding a set of the most expensive golf clubs that have come into my shop. Nicklaus Miura blades with Nippon 950 shafts. We are taking those golf shafts out and replacing the golf shaft with ACCRA 80 golf shafts to spec for the golfer who by the way can shoot in the mid 70s. Its longer video because there is so much to cover.
Watch the live stream Mondays 1730 or 530 pm eastern for the same topics.

Excellent video Jim. These clubs are outstanding. For Pete’s sake is a lucky guy ! Graphite shafts are the way too go, now with trigger fingers going on and a past shoulder surgery (2019) and new left hip in January 2022 I’m all graphite in my irons except SW and 52 gap. Mitsubishi Red AMT shafts with WINN DriTac LITE oversize grips.

Love the video . I was lucky enough to visit Macgregor factory in Albany , Georgia in 1982 and had Jack Wullcotte custom grind a set of forged irons that I played with in college at Wake Forest before changing to Ping Eye 2 later on . My dad collected the old persimmon head drivers back before metal woods took over and I still have an attic full of Tommy Armour 693 T drivers .

Very impressive work! I just bought a set of Miura TC 201’s. Wonderful irons! Slightly head heavy but the PW and 9 are very heavy. I’m thinking of sending them in for a look by Jim since he rebuilt a set of Mizuno 919T that are now perfect. What do you think Jim??

I bought myself a muira blade from ebay so from time to time i can take it to the range and see how bad it is if i dont hit it out on the center and that i have no business every ownng a set of MB's. They would have been nice with a ferule with a gold line on to match the bear but thats not my choice to make.

commemorative means you get to pay far more than they are worth. And a certain type of person gets sucked in. IMHO I dont think these are any better than a regular forged club. In the UK Golden bear golf product are low end cheap items.
@golfbulldog
@golfbulldog Жыл бұрын
These are Miura irons rather than Golden Bear...so I think there is a bit more workmanship in these than some cast Golden Bear cavity backs....but I agree re. Commemorative clubs.

@@golfbulldog I totally agree but the golden bear logo devalues them straight away. IMO

the golden bear irons dont carry the weight as other irons here either. however the nicklaus input is more important than the nicklaus logo.
