What about 2-pour recipes (bloom and then a single pour)? Where do they break down? I find they are nice for at most 340 g of water in most brewers (V60 02 etc), but if you’re brewing more than that it isn’t as good.

I worry than 2 pours are usually too fast in extraction and doesn't let the water and coffee slurry make enough contact time to get the flavors I need. Maybe when you're using higher dose requiring higher water, a 2 pour might be better due to potentially decreasing draw down time

Totally valid if that's what you enjoy. I did 4 pours as shown because its less bypass and yields more body. There's more emphasis on getting enough body at the shop than there is what I personally do at home

that's what i do - 1min bloom + single pour + swirl, works for me even when using a 03 v60 (660g+ brews). i haven't seen anybody recommending this, but it tastes great so i don't really care lol

@@Yourbeautyformyashes we use a mugen switch for our iced pour overs in the shop! same dose, grind a good bit finer. over ice - 80g 2 min immersion, then full open 80gn then 40g.
